Questions Our CustomersUsually Ask
Most residential driveways in KC run $8–$14 per square foot depending on thickness, reinforcement, and finish. We provide fixed-price proposals — no surprises.
Concrete reaches walkable strength in 24–48 hours and full cure in 28 days. We recommend keeping vehicles off for 7 days and avoiding de-icers for the first winter.
Our own trained, salaried employees handle every project. The same team that quotes your job shows up to pour it.
Spray deck (a thin overlay) is most popular — it's slip-resistant, stays cool barefoot, and is highly customizable. Stamped concrete is a great option for deck areas away from the water.
Reseal every 2–3 years with a quality acrylic sealer. Keep it clean with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh de-icers and dragging heavy metal objects across the surface.
Sometimes, yes. We assess cracks, settling, and surface damage honestly. If repair makes sense, we'll tell you. If it doesn't, we won't upsell you on replacement you don't need.
Yes. We carry full liability insurance and workers' comp on every job, and are licensed for contractor work in both states.
We're typically booked 3–6 weeks out during peak season (April–October). Call early for summer projects. We work year-round when temperatures allow.
Stamped concrete is impressed with a textured mat while the slab is still wet, giving it the texture and look of stone, brick, or wood. Stained concrete uses color chemically applied to the surface — usually over a smooth or trowel finish. The two are often combined for layered, custom effects.
Yes, with the right mix additives, insulated blankets, and ground prep. We pour year-round when temperatures allow — but sustained cold (under 25°F) and extreme heat (over 95°F) both require special handling. We monitor forecasts closely and reschedule if a pour can't be done safely.
We watch the forecast constantly and reschedule whenever rain looks likely during placement. If a surprise shower hits mid-pour, we cover the slab with poly sheeting until concrete sets. Light rain after initial set is fine, but heavy rain on fresh concrete can pock the finish.
A standard residential driveway should be at least 4 inches thick. For driveways that see RVs, trailers, or work trucks, we recommend 5–6 inches with steel reinforcement. The apron at the street typically needs 6 inches per most city specifications.
Yes. We guarantee our workmanship for two years and stand behind material quality per manufacturer specs. Standard hairline cracks at control joints are expected with concrete and aren't considered a defect — but structural cracking or settling tied to install issues is covered.
Yes — we have small-equipment crews for tight backyards, fenced areas, and projects where a full-size truck or excavator can't reach. Mini-skid steers, jackhammers, and wheelbarrow demolition let us tackle pours and tear-outs that bigger contractors will turn down.
